This briefcase is exactly what I was looking for: a tough, stylish piece I can use in my daily commute to the office and also take to meetings, and which has a contemporary yet classic design which can stand the test of time.
The laptop compartment is well padded and can fit 15.6 in units easily. There are many pockets ingeniously placed around the bag and the metal fittings and stitching shout quality and class. The leather is tough and not easily scratched (believe me, I have tried) and looks like it will be up to the task for years to come - plus the colour is a very nice mid-dark brown.
I also looked at the Tumi Alphas, but did not want to buy another me-too black nylon briefcase such as you see carried by 90% of businessmen...
Overall, highly recommended!

Arrived 24 hours after ordering. Gorgeous case. Perfect fit! Considering the price of those ever-present neoprene sleeves in the Apple Store and elsewhere, this is incredilbly well worth the price.

I had been looking for a quality, stylish backpack for a few months. I am working full time and attending school full time and need a product to transition well between settings.
I just received my Knomo Stella backpack and it is PERFECT! It is stylish, functional, and not over-sized when compared to my petite frame.
There is enough room for school supplies (books, notebooks, writing utensils, etc.), laptop, water bottle, and clutch!
If you are looking for the perfect designer backpack LOOK NO FURTHER! (Take it from someone who searched all over the web and in stores for a designer backpack).
I am so satisfied with this purchase that I just ordered a Knomo laptop sleeve and plan to purchase more bags for traveling in the near future!

I have had a brown Stella for a few weeks, and I am enjoying having the weight of my business materials distributed better so that I don't have one or the other shoulder weighed down with a bag. Having all the pockets is great, including the little pocket on the front for a metro card or a key.
I will probably get a black one for winter. The only drawback to this bag is that when I got caught in the rain with it, water soon seeped through to the inside. I am a real estate broker, and am outside a lot, going from buildings to subways, etc. Please make the outer material water-resistant--that would make this bag pretty close to perfect!

Wow, i just got stella shipped to my home here in Athens Greece,
i am impressed! with the quality, the style and the touch of the fabrics.
the inside fabric that is in pink (with the brown version) is veeery soft to the touch,
and the outside also.
all the pockets are very well sewn and there really is space for everything.
very much worth the money 100%
i also bought a continental wallet which also is very good quality, look and feel.
will do a review for that too.
i am a person who loves detail, and this bag has flawless detail...
congratulations knomo, you won my heart and i will definately buy some more products from you!!!

Being used to carrying backpacks i got comfortable and tend to use my back pack most days. I was searching for a couple of years until i found the ultimate, ladylike handbag. I work in a bagshop, but either they were not pretty enough or too heavy.
The Stella backpack is lightweight, and the straps really soft and comfortable. Have had it for a couple of years now, and it looks like new still. I love the beautiful lining, and the fact that it comes with a tracking no. I dont carry a laptop, use that slot for my book. And when i do a bit of shopping on my way home, i stuff it down in the backpack. The xtra padding (that is really for the laptop) comes in very handy so different packages dont dig into my back.
The staps are reall easy to adjust. The zip pocket on the inside is very handy aswell. I have nothing negative to say about this bag. It is elegant and functional and worth every penny.

I didn't want to get my hopes up, as it is difficult to find the "perfect" briefcase and many I saw on line just didn't live up to the photos. I ordered the black Rubi from Apple and am so pleased with it! I actually use it as a 15 inch MacBook Pro case and also carry file folders (several), my Ipad, cords, pens, etc with no issues. The bag is leather, lightweight and very much a women's bag.
It is everything I wanted, and quite stylish!

Just wanted to write and say I am delighted with it! I don't always carry a laptop, but wanted something that would keep A4 documents flat, so it doubels as a very smart briefcase. I also don't need to bother with a separate handbag when I use it!

I'd purchased the perforated Leather Folio case from Knomo for my iPad1 and LOVED it. But like most early adapters I bought the iPad leather SmartCover for my iPad2. This (knomo) case was not available on day 1. Too bad, as the Apple case has begun to fray a bit and is not in the same league QUALITY WISE as the Knomo case. And the cover come fall off every so often as well.
The quality of the leather is WONDERFUL - rich and elegant, with great attention paid to detail. And I LOVE the smell of high quality genuine leather, and this case will stand out in a crowd and in meetings as it oozes quality and style.
As for the functionality of the case, I'm still getting used to it and it appears to have two positions into which you can adjust the case for viewing, typing. MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is a low profile case that does not add a lot of bulk to the device but offers plenty of protection - much more of course than the SmartCover. AND, I'd point out that this cover does NOT leave the streaks associated with the Apple cover! I do love THAT aspect of the cover as well.
As an aside, I experienced a shipping issue with my case through no fault of Knomo. Their office was courteous, concerned, and QUICK to respond by sending me out a replacement THAT SAME DAY after determining a glitch in the UPS system. THANK YOU KNOMO!
All in all, don't think twice, it's all right, and treat yourself to a wonderful case from a great company.

This is by far the nicest cover on the market. Knomo makes a quality product.
I had a Knomo cover for my original iPad and couldn't wait for them to introduce one for th IPad 2. I was not disappointed and you won't be either.
The cover/case fits perfectly. This is nice enough to take out in a meeting or for travel. The leather is soft, yet you feel that the case can absorb a drop with out damage to the iPad.
If your looking for a nice leather case, this is a must buy.

When I purchased my I Pad 2, I also bought the leather smart cover. In my opinion, this product is a much better buy and one I would highly recommend to my friends buying an I pad 2!
First you notice the quality of the leather and then you realize the beauty of the design. It operates the same way as a smart cover but also provides additional back protection without adding the thickness of some plastic covers. My current cover has plastic that also covers the controls which often causes accidental pressing when handling. This product is a single piece design, which allows the controls to be open and eliminates accidental operation. The only problem might be maintaing the snug fit, but no reason to believe it won't. I have three Knomo products and have been extremely pleased with each one. Always excellent craftsmanship and design and the highest quality leather. I have a feeling these will soon be hard to get.

A young professional here...
I carry a lot of things with me to work every day. Laptop, cell phone, something to read, something to snack on, paperwork, sunglasses, reading glasses, keys and what have you. I had a bag that fit all these, but there was no organization whatsoever and in the end it just tore apart.
This bag is a whole different story. It is very practical. It has a variety of pockets that allow for a very nice organization. It is very sturdy. The shoulder strap is comfortable and adjustable. The design is stylish, contemporary and versatile enough so that you can match it with a professional or casual outfit.
The price of the bag was a bit discouraging to me, but I'm glad I invested in this product. It's gotta be the best bag on the market!

Quality is top-notch. Looks like amazing construction.
Perfect for a young professional. Looks casual and professional.
Holds a ton of stuff.
If I had to nit-pick...access to the front most pocket is a bit limited. hard to clip your keys in...might have made the front pockets and clip more visable. Also not sure what some of he shallow pockets were designed to hold.
Over all very cool bag, good style, good construction, good materials
Makes a great gift.

Its is easy, a perfect protection for my notebook. And the easy to expand. The fabric shows a high quality.
I have used it for some weeks now, and it is realy a marvelous bag. The shoulderstrap is perfect large, adjustable and no seperate hard pieces that kill's and make marks on your neck or shoulders.
It is realy astonishing how much fits in the bag. And I have never thought that I would use the possibility for the lugagesupport. Perfect! well hidden if not nesseserry but firm and easy when u use it.
Realy a great buy and worth the money

I Just got my knomo rocha like 15 minutes ago and totally love it!!!! It Has a pocket for everything you might ever need one for. It looks amazing, the leather handle is great and so is the strap! Overall its greatl. I would recommend it to everyone.

I was very impressed with the professional flare to this cover. I recently purchased the Ipad 2, but found that the lack of access to the rear camera was a minimal issue weighing that against the overall look and functionality of this case. Also like the fact that most people think it's just a very nice leather planner that I'm carrying. Lessens the unwanted attention!!!

I recently purchased an iPad 2 and although this is an iPad 1 cover, I was drawn to it immediately Beautifully rich leather and brown/orange color scheme draw attention from admirers all the time. The Apple store rep. agreed that it was the best looking and most protective cover in the store. I must remove the iPad from the case to access the rear video lens , but that is a small bother compared to the quality and feel of this case.
I hope there are plans for producing a iPad 2 version.

I love this case, I feel confident carrying my ipad everywhere. I also like the fact that it looks like a filofax or general organiser when closed, so unwanted attention isnt generated. It also looks professional and feels luxurious. I would like to have the option of more colours however.

Wasn't looking for any particular cover as already owned Apple's magnetic clip-on. However for travel cannot be beaten, and is genuinely good-looking. Weight is not an issue for me, but might put other's off. At the sale price is well worth considering. In use I have really enjoyed it and my wife keeps eyeing it up. Better go a check the colour range!

I have tried a few different, well-known folio cases before finally finding this case at the Apple Store. It is sturdy yet lightweight which makes it ideal for traveling with the folio. I am able to fit it into my small tote bag without a problem. It also fits into my ScotteVest Trench Coat which has an iPad pocket.
I highly recommend this folio for anyone looking to enhance their iPad with a beautifully designed, well-crafted and professional looking folio.

rich feel, good looks, very functional. I get comments on it all the time. It is great and it could be even better with two simple additions: First, there should be spot to put my business card. Simple acetate window in which to slip a card. Second, it would be great if there were a small pouch to hold a set of ear buds. Very useful to have everything in one place. You might also think of a loop to hold a
stylus in the center spine... more and more folks are using them for the
handwriting features of the iPad.

Tried several iPad cases. This one looks and feels the best by miles, and also has very unusual but very effective design to enable different viewing angles. This is the ONLY case I have seen with press studs to keep the case closed , much better than elastic bands , or tabs which flap about when open. Well done knomo a truly class product.

I first purchased a neoprene sleeve for my iPad. sort of OK protection in transit but during usage, the iPad is naked. So I went online and bought a cover with a unique hinge and the ability to be an easel in two different directions. Problem: this cover weighs about the same as the iPad, making for a hefty handful. Found this Knomo Folio in my Apple store. Wasn't looking for it but after scrutinizing the other offerings, I was drawn to the classic perforated leather cover and the simple and needed ability to prop up the iPad in landscape mode for taking notes on a flat surface. I'm lovin' this!

The Snap Folio is lightweight but sturdy. It looks professional and stylish and wasn't as expensive as some of the other cases I saw at the Apple store even though in my opinion, it was the best looking option. Highly recommend.

i have now been using this case for 3 weeks and love it. it looks great (leather is soft) and does everything I need. typing mode is very stable and perfect angle. well done on a great accessory to a device that i seem to use more and more every day.

Overall, this bag is absolutely stunning. It is of the highest quality and I do not find the metal snaps to be obtrusive. The lining inside is amazingly soft and the colour scheme is fantastic. I'd recommend this to anyone.

I love the way this sleeve fits my MacBook Air, and the quality is great. It makes it much easier to hold on to the laptop, as it tends to be a little slippery by itself. I love it!

I love the look and feel of my 11 inch macbook air leather sleeve, and appreciate that it doesn't look like a traditional laptop case - but isn't gimmicky either. I also like that the natural wear of the case along the seams is that of worn leather - and just as beautiful as when new.
However, one concern is the the metal snaps used to close the case often scrape against the body of the laptop itself when storing or taking out. It would be great if they could find a way to coat the metal hardware to prevent the possibility of scratching. Finally, I would love to see this in a variety of leather finishes. The medium brown is beautiful, but something a bit richer would also be lovely.
