‘Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden’? Urban Golf is for anyone, anytime…

Golf pic - travers golf book

Last weekend, my fella finally managed to drag me down to The Central London Golf Centre in Earlsfield for a bit of stress-relief. Battling through the elements, we spent a couple of hours thwacking balls down at the Centre’s driving range. If you’re dying to beat out some agression or are bored of your normal excercise routine, golf is a great alternative and now you don’t need to live in a big, posh pile in the countryside to enjoy it.

Apple introduce the iPod 4G

Blue. Orange. No…pink. No. Argh, God darn Apple and their Rainbow-Brite magical goodness! It’s tempting to snap up a new iPod Nano 4G purely on the basis of such a dribble-licious range of colours, but the Nano is so much more than a slick-looking toy. The Genius feature acts as a personal DJ, creating playlists by finding songs in your library which sound great together. With its 2-inch widescreen display, and the ability to view pictures and movies in landscape, you can also wile away the hours of a boring train journey with your favourite movie. Knomo is particularly enamoured with the Nano’s Accelerometer, a function that allows you to shuffle your music by simply giving the device a quick shake. To top it off, new Apple-approved knomo iPod Nano 4G covers are available in 3 styles including a flip case in smooth, matt leather. And, if choosing the colour of your new iPod wasn’t enough heartache, knomo spoils us with a choice of red, fuschia and black covers.

‘I’m a Celebrity’ has started and so has the revolution of celeb followers at knomo….

Biggins with catalogue

This week we have had Christopher Biggins on the blower as he is the latest fan of knomo and will soon be toting a new Bungo 17″ messenger bag around London-town. The I”m a celeb’ star has recently been filming an expose show on the new series that hit screens on Sunday and currently guest stars in the supporting Iceland ad campaign. Biggins is a bona-fide national treasure and we are proud to call him a knomo’ite’! See pic below of Biggins with our very own Brand Manager…

Samuel L Jackson drops in to knomo HQ…

Samuel L Jackson - Saxby glossy black courier bag

It’s official. Samuel L. Jackson loves knomo. We don’t like to brag (much) but last week, the legendary Hollywood actor took time from his busy schedule to drop into the knomo office for a cup of tea and a chat about the brand. Having been a fan of knomo for some time (Jackson owns a knomo Bungo Messenger bag), the actor was eager to take a sneaky peek at the new collection. Clearly a man with impeccable taste, Jackson picked out the gorgeous ‘Saxby’ courier bag from the new Brixton range (available to purchase in a few months). With its glossy finish and roomy design, the actor made the perfect choice for a man-on-the-go! However, not contented with one knomo goodie, Jackson also took home a new navy knomo ‘Slim’ to protect his Mac laptop with incredible quilted goodness. What more could a man want?

Our fave exhibition to check out…

If you only see one major exhibition this year, it’s got to be Francis Bacon. Distorted, macabre, and utterly fascinating, Bacon’s work shows us life from the inside out, put together by the Tate Britain to celebrate the artist’s centenary next year.

This week we are listening to:

6a00e5500b3c618833010535f913dc970b-800wi.jpg

Everything! It’s a wonder we’ve had the time to do any work around here, considering the truckload of new albums released in the past few weeks. Ladyhawke, Kings of Leon, MIA, Santogold, Oasis, Friendly Fires; so many great sonic offerings and so little time.

This week, the Kaiser Chiefs are up for trial with their new album, ‘Off with their Heads’ (no pun intended). Co-produced by Mark Ronson, the Kaiser Chief’s third album features vocal contributions from the New Young Pony Club (the recent single ‘Never Miss a Beat’) and Lily Allen (“It Always Happens Like That’). With the exception of the fantastic ‘Never Miss a Beat’, unfortunately, most tracks failed to keep the knomo team interested, and inspired us to put Radio 2 on instead!
